Individual Music Therapy Sessions
(Private pay or Medicaid CES/ SLS Waiver)
Individual music therapy sessions are provided at the client's location (residence, day program, school etc.). A full assessment is conducted and functional goals are developed and tailored to the individual's needs. Sessions are a minimum of 30 minutes and include 90% direct therapy time and 10% data collection and cleaning supplies and instruments to follow safety precautions.
Group Music Therapy Sessions
(Private Pay)
Group music therapy sessions consist of a maximum of 25 individuals. Groups may include members at similar levels of functioning, or can bring together individuals of all levels of ability to develop and practice valuable social skills in a structured setting. Each session is tailored to the needs of the group members and includes 90% direct therapy time and 10% data collection and cleaning supplies and instruments to follow safety precautions.
Adapted Music Lessons
Adapted music lessons are provided for individuals with developmental, learning, and neurologic impairments. Through the education, clinical training and credentialing process, music therapists are trained to understand a wide variety of impairments and medical conditions. Instructional methods are adapted to the individual's learning style, functioning level, strengths and needs to provide opportunities for optimal learning and success.
Lessons include piano, guitar, violin, ukulele, and hand percussion.
